MAKE A COMMITMENT FOR ONE WEEK THIS SUMMER TO CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER.

A group of teens and adults will be experiencing inner-city life in St. Augustine for one week this summer.  We will be working in a soup kitchen, painting houses, doing carpentry, building wheelchair ramps, yard work, heavy cleaning, etc. * (*means whatever else needs to be done for people who have no one else to do it.

Join us and you’ll be hungry, tired, dirty, and sometime you will ache all over.  You’ll also learn cooperation, feel, wanted, experience community, receive in new ways, make some incredible new friends and spend one week of your summer living Christ’s message of care for the poor.  Best of all, you’ll discover that you can make an incredible difference in someone’s life.

Here’s how it works.  The weeklong trip costs $70 if you are a St. Catherine’s parishioner or $145 (the real cost of the trip) if you are fro another parish.  That includes food, housing and transportation.  For St. Catherine’s teens the fee can be reduced by participating in fundraisings activities.

We live at Cathedral Parish School for the week.  We sleep in classrooms, shower in the gym at Flagler College, and eat breakfast and supper in the hall.

During the day we work for clients who need help and have registered with one of the social service agencies in St. Augustine

"Faith without action is dead."
